东风康明斯发动机由二汽公司引进美国康明斯公司技术生产，具有发动体积小、重量轻、耗油低、工作性能可靠、配件供应及维修方便等特点，采用手调及电子调速器，具有冷却水温过高、机油压力低及超速报警并自动停机等保护功能（根据用户要求选装），其功率范围24KW-183KW。
Dongfeng Cummins engine is developed and manufa ctured by means of Dongfeng Motor Corporation absorbing technique of America Cummins Inc. this engine owns many a dvantages as small volume、light weight、low oil consumption、reliable working performance、perfect fittings supply and simple maintenance etc, it adopts hand-operated and electronic speed regulator, which owns certain protective function that alarm and automatically power-off in the case of temperature of cooling water being super-high、engine oil’s pressure being super-low and over-speed etc(choose certain function for installation based on user’s demand),its power range is 24KW-183KW.
